Size does not matter as Budo is not about brute strength. A well-trained Budoka can neutralize a much larger opponent, not by opposing his force, but by blending with the opponent’s energy to guide and controlling it.
You don’t need to feel intimidated by the fact that others may prejudge you or assume you are in a weaker position, because if they are speaking in words, it is only a matter of perception which clearly they are not seeing the whole picture. A warrior knows this.
Those who are enlightened never stop forging themselves. This realizations of mastery cannot be expressed well in words.
The most perfect actions echo the patterns found in nature. Have you ever felt out of place? Maybe you were the “new kid” or “the young one” or simply the “outsider” because you felt that you did not fit in?
There is nothing in this universe that cannot be harmonized, just as others should not prejudge your position, neither should you; your position, see what it not seen, adopt to what is felt and flow naturally within the elements.
What matters is that you are prepared, ready, and fully listening—with your ears, eyes and heart.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s lesson.
Take Care, Be Safe and Good Luck in your Journey of Budo.
