Amida Nyorai
Here I am standing next to Amida Nyorai (a.k.a Amida Butsu) which is the celestial Buddha who has the ability to intervene in this world and save people in a god-like manner. He has passed the bodhisattva path and has achieved superhuman powers giving him the power to live in the heavens.
This statue was created in the Muromachi Period of Japan (1392-1568) and is home here in Kansas City, Ks in one of the local museums.
Amida Nyorai is considered as the “Buddha of Infinite Light” and is the oldest of all the known Buddhas. He is the principal Buddha for East Asian Buddhism and is known for his long life and has total appreciation and the deep knowledge of the individualities of different people.

Historical Samurai – Takeda Shingen
Takeda Shingen (武田 信玄; 1521-1573), of Kai Province, was a pre-eminent daimyo in feudal Japan with exceptional military prestige in the late stage of the Sengoku period.
Although aggressive towards military enemies, he was probably not as cruel as other samurai warlords. His war banner contained the famous phrase Fū-Rin-Ka-Zan (風林火山 “Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain”), taken from Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War.’ This phrase refers to the idea of Swift as the Wind, Silent as a Forest, Fierce as Fire and Immovable as a Mountain. The motto applied to Shingen’s policies and his military strategy.

Historical Samurai – Sanada Yukimura
Sanada Yukimura (真田 幸村; 1567-1615), actual name: Sanada Nobushige (真田 信繁), was a Japanese samurai warrior of the Sengoku period. He was especially known as the leading general on the defending side of the Siege of Osaka.
A legend says that Yukimura had ten shinobi who took an active role at the battles of Osaka Castle. They were called the Sanada Ten Braves, a group of ninja, and consisted of the following members:
(01) Sarutobi Sasuke
(02) Kirigakure Saizo
(03) Miyoshi Seikai
(04) Miyoshi Isa
(05) Anayama Kosuke
(06) Unno Rokuro
(07) Kakei Juzo
(08) Nezu Jinpachi
(09) Mochizuki Rokuro
(10) Yuri Kamanosuke
