Budo Ryu Ninjutsu – Black Belt Training

14206033_1225967694114482_6155408020495596670_o

This photo was taken at the Budo Ryu Kai Hombu Dojo during the 2016 Daikomyosai week. It is a very rare moment that I have all of my black belts with me at one time!

I started the Budo Ryu Kai in 2004 and in the first 12 years, we’ve gained thousands of students all over the world through our online ninjutsu dojo as well as established multiple schools that teach these methods of ninjutsu. Knowing all of that, there have been 10 individuals that have been awarded a Kuro Obi (Black Belt) in Budo Ryu Ninjutsu. That is less than 1 per year that is awarded this honor. In short,…. This organization is FAR from a black belt mill. Here we pride ourselves on excellence, not mediocrity.

In this picture you see the 6 students that currently make up the “active” roster for my black belts. There have been 4 others, which are no longer with the dojo, as life has taken them down another path. But even though those 4 are no longer with the dojo anymore, without doubt they put sweat, blood and tears on the mat, took the shodan test and past! For that fact alone, they should be recognized because the black belt test here is EXTREMELY difficult…

Here we teach “REAL” authentic ninjutsu and classical samurai bujutsu that not only connects you to the history and tradition of Japans warring past, but prepares you to protect yourself and the ones that you love in the present.

The 6 students that you see with me above in the picture are just as close to me as family. They have never strayed from the dojo and have shown ABSOLUTE dedication, loyalty and honor to myself and this school, and for that, they should be recognized. (deep bow of respect)

This training demands complete dedication and discipline of the mind, body and spirit. If you are interested in training in historical ninjutsu and classical samurai bujutsu, check out our website:www.BudoRyuNinjutsu.com

Art of War – Part 10

*********************************

“Fierceness is essential in the realm of war. It cannot be dependent of the amount of destruction that you want to inflict. This emotion has to be drown upon by the honor that you have for your family, loyalty that you have for your lord. Fierceness is a natural state when the troops see the wisdom of their leader and attack like the power of the heavens.”

“It is very important for a warlord to have access to gaining information, the use of spies is crucial. Some of the information us useful and some is deception, it is up to the leader as to how to move and attack.”

“Spies and guerrilla agents are the utmost importance to the successful operation of the warlord. Only those who are intelligent and enlightened can use them properly. Without secret operations a war is a meaningless act of violence that does nothing except destroy all of the people and all the resources.”

I wrote 10 lessons on the art of war. Study these lessons well, to master them means you understand the true arts of war.

Vulnerability & Invulnerability

“When the warlord is prepared for battle, he is first into the realm of combat and does not back down because of fear and doubt.”

“His fortitude is fixed and his fighting will be done with ease if he understand the way.”

“The simplest way to humble, humiliate and debase your enemy is to cut him off from his supplies. If he is mighty and still comes forward, his avenue of escape will be that more difficult to remain when he cant supply his troops with food.”

“NEVER permit the enemy to know where your attack will be coming from, and never sacrifice one thing that will protect your village,….do his with deception.”

“A large force cannot easily over power a smaller force of the smaller force is more skilled in the arts of war. There are many times that a smaller unit of specially trained soldiers can wreak havoc on the enemy by fighting in the shadows. These hit and fun tactics take a toll on a larger force. By using these methods of war, the warlord can find the weaknesses and strengths in the enemy’s army.”

“In war there are no constants, nothing stays the same, this is the same with war as well as life.”

(my personal interpretations and research taken from Sun Tzu’s book; (Art of War)

“In ancient days warriors made themselves unbeatable by constant practice. Knowing they were not perfect, this constant training made them see how vulnerable themselves and their enemies are.”

“You should not think of beating your enemy in ego boastful ways, but rather make them feel the reality of extending their skills through the them.”

“Warlords who have mastered defense attack from hidden places and assure their own success. If you understand the needs of warriors and proceed in this fashion, you will be successful; if you don’t, you will fail.”

“Only through constant study of the art of war and the constant training of the physical aspects of combat can you completely be prepared for war. This is what makes the warrior both strong in mind and body.”

“Unless it is absolutely necessary, never use force when taking control of another state, Not using force will enable you to relax the fears of the people. If you use force you ultimately will not get the following or support that you are fighting for. If you do not use force, they will realize the meaning of your intentions and they will follow your lead.”

“People will always have the desire to see the demise of any leader, including their own.”

“People will always show hatred towards those in power, because they hate their own lives.”

“If there is the slightest annoyance or inconvenience brought about, people usually get unsteady when under pressure and they will usually follow the bread wagon and do so with little regard for future consequences. The masses of people are only concerned with their own welfare. that is why they are peasants and not leaders.”

“Warlords see the future; peasants only see the present and grumblers only see the past”

“The intelligent warlord understands that the entrance into conflict is senseless wit out an attitude of complete and total victory. There is no reason to contemplate anything else. If victory is not his main goal, then what is to be accomplished?”

“Paper tigers are burned up at the first contact with a flame and cease to exist,…those that are more concerned with paper than “REAL” objectives are not real warriors. Warriors are warriors and do not concern themselves with anything but war.”

” Just because you have won in combat and now seem invincible. The strength of your victory also depends ion the weakness of your enemy, which you have determined. After victory is attained, be prepared and govern the conquered. The people will do your bidding once you have their trust and if they believe you have done for them as you have done for your won people.”

“Correct strategies must be developed by methods that enable the warlord to bring about the implementation of his true beliefs. it does not matter how he does this, he must, however; make sure that his own house is protected before going to battle.”

“Going into battle means that all preparations are in place and effort can minimized by using a primary tool of war – DECEPTION.”

“Enemies must never see you in direct motion (such as coming at them) Enemies must never sense your actions.”

“In war it is essential to make the enemy think one thing while you deliver a strike from another direction. It is essential to keep the enemy off balance.”

“Destroy your enemy in anyway that you can, but never forget that he many have resources as well and may be prepared for you attack.”

“Never think that he is incapable of destroying you, when you let ego set, you are not seeing a clear picture and the image is disrupted. Keep a clear mind of the whole picture and act accordingly.”

“Conflict is essential to the development and growth of man and society. It leads either to the construction or destruction of an entire group or state. As a leader of men, you should understand this concept without question. If you do not understand the need for conflict, than you should not be in control of the society that you presume yourself to be in charge of. Conflict does not always mean “physical combat; however if there is no conflict -internal or external – there can be no growth.”

“Insult the enemy with sublety; degrade when and where you can degrade, offer fools bait and entice him to display his stupidity. Dong these things will capitalize on his arrogance.”

***** (NOTE) knowing that this is a offensive tactic NEVER fall for this trick and engage as a DEFENSIVE counterpart! – (1) it lets you off guard (2) makes you susceptible to wrongful verbal attacks (3) if engage it shows weakness to your soldiers*****

“If he is not resolute in matters of war, he will easily be kept off guard and will fall in battle. ALWAYS let the enemy kill themselves. Any weakness your opponent has exploit it and kill it. OVER AND OVER till the enemy submits or dies; never giving an inch for his / her weakness.
