In this video I thought I would share with you a demonstration (demo) on authentic historical ninjutsu and classical koryu samurai bujutsu skills! I used the footage from our taikai events over the last 10 years, to create this fun demo for all of you!
There are so many “ninpo schools” that teach taijutsu and call it ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is not taijutsu. Ninjutsu is ninjutsu. Here at the Budo Ryu Kai, we pride ourselves on the study and training of authentic ninjutsu and classical samurai bujutsu!
One of the reasons some of the larger “ninpo organizations” and members of these organizations like to belittle and trash me and my organization (Budo Ryu Kai), is simply because they know they are NOT teaching real historical ninjutsu. It is easier for the “established businesses/organizations” and “online haters and trolls” to keep doing what they are doing, even though they know they are wrong. Regardless of how many attack me, the truth is the truth and if you are a student of the Budo Ryu Kai, studying Budo Ryu Ninjutsu, than you are without a doubt, 100%, studying true ninjutsu, bujutsu and kobujutsu.
I know that this is a holiday weekend and that many of you are spending time with your family and friends, as you should. But do not stray away from your training. The review videos this week has been below average. Although this is expected during a holiday week, it is not expected the following week. So get focused on what it is that you are training for. Maintain your focus and continue to train every day to make yourself better.
.
Stay focused on what it is that we do. Too much is too much. More is not better, better is better. I am seeing many people post many books and study materials about the ninja and samurai from sources that have nothing to do with the Budo Ryu Kai. Not that this is bad, but it does not help with your training in these warrior arts. Know that when you are trying to be more productive with your training.
.
Here we constantly push ourselves through pain. I understand that the majority of people think that my training methods are insane and too difficult. But I do not care what these weak minded people think. LIFE IS PAIN! If you cannot take pain, push yourself through pain and continue on, than you do not need to train here. Not everyone is going to be a black belt here. Why?… because not everyone is worthy of it. I know that this sounds really cold, but it is the truth… and sometimes the truth hurts.
.
— [STUDENTS] —
If you do not want to keep up with the physical conditioning that is that is required here at the Budo Ryu Kai, than you will not succeed here. If this bothers you, leave.
.
If you do not want to learn the true history and tradition of the ninja and samurai, than you will not succeed here. If this bothers you, leave.
.
If you do not want to submerge yourself in the study of these 7 warrior traditions and their kata, than you will not succeed here. If this bothers you, leave.
.
If you do not want to work on, and keep up with, all of the modern variations of the kata, then extract the simplistic methods for reality based self defense, than you will not succeed here. If this bothers you, leave.
.
There are many other organizations that will take your money and sell you a bunch of easy bullshit, stroke you pathetic ego and let you do what you want. So if you want easy, you need to leave the Budo Ryu Kai.
.
— [INSTRUCTORS] —
Remember, you have to keep up with your training as a student, as well as maintain 2 ranks above your highest ranking student. If you do not maintain 2 ranks or more above your highest ranking student, than you cannot promote any student until you do so. This is a requirement that HAS ALWAYS and WILL ALWAYS be in place. I REFUSE to have inflated rank in this organization! The easiest way to keep that bullshit from happening is to make sure that the instructors have to maintain their training as well.
.
In the last 15+ years of the Budo Ryu Kai, I have had 6 instructors that DID NOT keep to this requirement. When I told them that they cannot promote their students until they get caught up with their personal training, ALL OF THEM left the organization. I am not saying that this is “THE” reason for all of them leaving the Budo Ryu Kai. But 100% of all instructors that have left did not keep to this requirement and this was an issue at the time of their departure.
.
So if you are an instructor here at the Budo Ryu Kai and you do not want to make sure that your training is up to the standard of this organization, than leave! I refuse to have instructors that cannot do what they claim to do! Here we will not have any out of shape, overweight teachers who ask students to do things that they themselves will not do. There is nothing worse than an instructor with no discipline, no dedication and no loyalty! If you cannot keep to the instructors guidelines than you will not succeed here at the Budo Ryu Kai! I demand excellence! If this bothers you, leave.

No one in the ninjutsu community has endured the smear campaign that I have had to endure over the last 15+ years. I AM GOING NO WHERE! However, I refuse to stand up against these hateful closed minded prejudice bigots and then allow the students and instructors to not maintain the excellence that I demand. Only the best will survive here.

Take care, be safe and good luck in your journey of Budo
In this video: “Loyalty in the Martial Arts”, I discuss the importance of why a martial artist should follow the dojo code of honor. In the modern day, so many martial artists have no integrity or honor. All they care about is themselves, how much money they can make and how many “Blackbelts” they can acquire. They do not give a shit how many people they have to lie, cheat, deceive or walk-on to do it. This constant dishonor and selfishness is pathetic and shameful… It’s one of the main reasons why I started the Budo Ryu Kai to begin with. To give those who are looking for something authentic and real, an opportunity to experience it.
This lesson is directly for the practitioners of the ancient Japanese koryu martial arts of the ninja and samurai, such as ninjutsu (ninpo) and bujutsu (budo).
