this video promo is of the Goshinjutsu Workshop 2012 DVD that will be released by the Budo Ryu –School of Warrior Way. In this event we looked at the raw reality of self defense. There are so many schools that do not focus on this, they only focus on strictly kata, or understanding of. In this school of martial training we train to defend ourselves, family, village, and ryu by all means necessary.
Ninjutsu is the art of survival, we train so that we can survive and live our lives the way that we want to live our lives to make us and our loved ones happy.
I hope that you all enjoy the video, if interested in the DVD it will be released in the Ninjutsu Super Store!
Take Care, Be Safe &
Good Luck in your Journey of Budo!

Bushi no Me – “Eyes of the Samurai”
(sight and insight)
A warrior does not see things in an ordinary way. A warrior has trained their mind and spirit to process the impulses from a highly refined manner. A warrior does not focus on one thing, but sees one thing.
To the warrior, the ideas of “eye sight” and “sight” are different, there are many different methods of sight and insight with a warrior.
The training for all methods of warrior sight and insight for the samurai is called “Bushi no men Rensho” The complete understanding of these concepts will be found in Chapter Three of Budo Ryu Kai; School of War. This book details all of the fundamentals of the Budo Ryu Kai as well as the fundamentals and basics of all Budo.
This book is a must have for any practitioner of the Japanese martal arts and is to be released later this year!

To start each class you have to start with the correct frame of mind. Start each class knowing that you are there to train your mind, body and spirit as one. This is a very short clip expressing the start of a class here at the hombu, dedicated to the art of Traditional Samurai Bujutsu and Authentic Ninjutsu.
We start each class with a Bow in, Shiken Haramitsu Daikoumyo (四拳 波羅蜜 大光明) this is the sensation and the harmony perceived by the sense of hearing and heart, to understand this, is to also understand that for every step that I take, I am placing myself one step closer towards my enlightenment.
After the traditional bow in, we then start with kihon (basics) to warm up the body now that we are focused, this video is a short clip of some of the dakentaijutsu drills (striking body drills) that we would do to start the class.

Vulnerability & Invulnerability
“When the warlord is prepared for battle, he is first into the realm of combat and does not back down because of fear and doubt.”
“His fortitude is fixed and his fighting will be done with ease if he understand the way.”
“The simplest way to humble, humiliate and debase your enemy is to cut him off from his supplies. If he is mighty and still comes forward, his avenue of escape will be that more difficult to remain when he cant supply his troops with food.”
“NEVER permit the enemy to know where your attack will be coming from, and never sacrifice one thing that will protect your village,….do his with deception.”
“A large force cannot easily over power a smaller force of the smaller force is more skilled in the arts of war. There are many times that a smaller unit of specially trained soldiers can wreak havoc on the enemy by fighting in the shadows. These hit and fun tactics take a toll on a larger force. By using these methods of war, the warlord can find the weaknesses and strengths in the enemy’s army.”
“In war there are no constants, nothing stays the same, this is the same with war as well as life.”
(my personal interpretations and research taken from Sun Tzu’s book; (Art of War)
