Stay Away from Hate & Negativity
Today’s Lesson | Stay Away From Hate & Negativity
.
Yesterday I went out for a walk to shoot a video and share some of my thoughts on the MartialArts with all of you. This video was me going over my journey of teaching Ninjutsu all of these years. The video included all of the ups and the downs and the good and bad lessons that I learned along the way. The video was about 1 hour long, which means it would be about 40 min. once I edit and cut it down.
.
In the video I found myself drifting and discussing topics that were toxic and would not lead to any positive outcome at all. So I decided that I would not post the video. I know that there are many people in all of the martial arts community that are very “open” and “public” about voicing their opinions and trashing and hurting others. But as I have stated many times, I will never take part in that. However, because I have said this statement numerous times, that is why I have been taken advantage of so many times in the past. Certain people knew they could walk on me, knowing I was not going to “out them” publicly.
.
There is an old saying:
“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall from anything.”
.
Regardless if you believe what I believe or practice what I practice, if you know me, than you know I live a very Esoteric life. I do believe in Magic / Magick, universal energy, Chakra, Karma, 3 fold law, etc… Because of my spiritual position I do not allow myself to take part in situations or align myself with people that can bring negativity towards me in anyway. Which is one of the basic lessons of Self Defense; Best Defense is to not be there.
.
Instead of me using personal experiences and telling you about how “this person” and “that person” did me wrong, using conniving, backstabbing and treacherous methods so that they could “advance” or “benefit” either personally or professionally by using me and my friendship. I am going to give you a more “public” example so that you understand my point.
.
See, if I was to use the personal experience as an example and talk about “this person” and “that person”, I would be talking about things that are 100% true, but happened behind the scenes. Which means “this person” and “that person” would simply deny the allegations and maintain whatever their positions are with whatever situation that I was talking about. So to make this more clear. Let me give you an example of the bullshit that I stay away from that is very public and cannot be argued.
.
There is a man online who has never met me, never trained with me, yet has made numerous videos and posts about me. In a video he posted, he dressed up as a woman, mocked me, belittled me, then placed a banana between his legs and cut it off making fun of me because I am a Transgender Woman. So many people attach themselves to this hateful vulgar person and I do not understand why. From a martial arts perspective he does not have high rank at all, nor is he a teacher. He may have a large book collection but his attitude is so vile and disgusting, I do not understand why anyone would want to associate themselves with this person at all. It does speak very loud and clear about those that would condone this individual and still want to align themselves personally and professionally.
.
This person that I am speaking of is so hateful; at one time, he posted a series of videos attacking a specific individual on YouTube. In the end, the man that he was attacking, hung himself because of this individuals hateful online bullying. Knowing that, there are still people to this day that will speak his name in their videos as though this man is an authority, attempting to give him a platform to share his knowledge, when the facts are, having a large book collection does not make you an authority, nor does it mean you are knowledgeable.
.
Have you ever noticed that the majority of the people that take this hateful approach online are all depressed, alone and do not have too many friends? They seem to think that having an “online base” makes them more “likeable”. But in fact, it is the opposite. The majority of them do not have many friends because no one wants to be around them.
.
Have you also noticed that the majority of these people are single, not married and do not have kids? One could argue that this is a personal decision, but very few would argue that family, love and acceptance are the most important aspects towards happiness in life. I do not hate/dislike any of these people, including the individual that I used as an example earlier. I feel sorry for all of them. Because they will never truly understand or experience what it is that I am talking about.
.
Again, you need to stand for something or you will fall for anything. You are better than that. Never lower your standards, even if everyone around is doing so. Remember the people that are trying to pull you down are already below you. Stand up for what you believe in. It does not matter if the whole “Ninjutsu Community” if full of hateful, narcissistic, self centered, self absorbing egotistical Prejudice bigots. I will never lower my standard of excellence and will still provide an opportunity for those who want to train in authentic ninjutsu classical samurai Bujutsu in a positive environment.
.
Have you noticed that the weaker always travel in groups? You see this in nature too. The weaker animals always travel in groups because they feel safer, even if they do not like other members of their group. The strong always seem to be okay with standing on their own feet and not aligning themselves with others.
.
I stand alone with my teaching in ninjutsu. Yet, many of the weak want to always congregate and feed off of each other, yet self-proclaim themselves as doing something great. When in reality, behind the scenes, they are the wolf in sheep’s clothing.
.
In the Budo Ryu Kai, we have a 100% Zero Hate Policy. If anyone posts hate they will be dismissed. If anyone supports hate, they will be dismissed. If anyone wants to align themselves with hateful people, they will be dismissed. It is that simple.
.
To give you an example of this, I am a Transgender woman married to a woman of color and we have mixed kids. If someone wanted to be a member of the KKK and support David Duke (grand-wizard of the KKK), then they will not be a member here. I am not going to have a student that supports a hateful organization that is attacking me and my family along with many other Budo Ryu Ninjutsu students of color as well as their families. However, everyone knows that I am a transgender woman married to a woman of color and we have mixed kids. So I could give examples on hateful groups against LGBTQ, transgender people, gay marriage, etc. But I am in hope that you understand where I am going with this point.
.
See the majority of the weak, are not in the same position that I am in. I am married, with kids. So I have to set an example for my children. I am a teacher of the arts and I have thousands of students all over the world who look up to me for guidance. Am I human? Yes. I would love to get online and put them all on blast. But that action goes against everything that I stand for, and I have a much larger responsibility then all of them and I will not lower myself to their level.
.
I am in hopes that all of you can learn something from this lesson. Take care, be safe and good luck in your journey of Budo.

Life Lessons from an Courtesan | Escort, Stripper
Martial Arts lesson from a 40 year old escort / courtesan / stripper.
Today’s Ninjutsu Lesson | Read in Full
There is an old saying:
“Never judge a book by its cover.”
In the martial arts, I teach my students to never judge an opponent with any pre-thought. What you “think” may not be true. Although many of us know this, it is remarkably difficult to get past the social stereotypes that we see in the media and movies.
Why is it that when you pick up any Martial Arts Magazine, watch any Martial Arts / War / Fighting Movie, you always see some dude with their top off, flexing their muscles, instilling intimidation through their “masculine prowess”, and in doing so, he instills fear and intimidation towards his opponents… Why?
Why is it that you always see “masculinity” as a means to being a great warrior, but a woman showing her “femininity” is not as equally accepted?
In the art of ninjutsu we train to see the unseen. The fact that someone has a muscular body does not mean they are good at combat. If that were the case, a Bodybuilder would be a great soldier and a Strongman Champion should be the next MMA champ.
If you ask any martial artist who has years of training, would they fear fighting against a bodybuilder or Strong Man Champion that has zero experience in fighting, most would say no. If you ask the average man on the street, they would hesitate because of the man’s size and strength… Why?
I understand that size and strength does add factors to the fight, but unless you submit to these factors, those factors do not dictate the fight. Never fear a man based on how big his muscles are, because I know through life experience that the man that is not as big and powerful can rip out your throat just as fast. Just the same, the woman that is being really nice and giving you lots of attention can take you for everything that you have; understanding the art of self defense is deeper than mere physical technique…
In the world of martial arts, the majority of teachers are men and the majority of students are men/boys. When you look at the majority of martial arts instructors, most of them were either in the military, police force, security field, bar bouncers and or bounty hunters. For some reason, having a more “masculine job” gives them more clout when teaching martial arts. But we will get to that in a later lesson…
In the martial arts, I am ridiculed all of the time because I am a woman. Nothing pisses off a closed minded, insecure man in the martial arts more than a powerful woman who exudes femininity and sexual freedom.
If I was nothing but tits and ass, than the Budo Ryu Kai would not have be around for 13+ years and still going strong teaching authentic ninjutsu and samurai bujutsu. Whether you love me or hate me, if you study ninjutsu anywhere in the world that has internet access, you have heard of “Soke Anshu” / “Anshu Christa Jacobson”. I personally do not give a shit about social stereotypes, nor do I have any fear of an opponent in front of me either. My opponent can prejudge me if they want. But it will be a mistake if they assume that I’m some dumb-ass weak blonde that cannot protect herself.
Self-defense (goshinjutsu) is not just in the physical realm, remember: “mind-body-spirit”. You have to learn how to protect yourself against mental and emotional attacks as well. This training also has an “ura” aspect to it, as you have to learn how to not hurt yourself, physically, mentally and emotionally as well. In many cases, the most stress, worry and pain comes from within. Here again, having negative pre-thoughts of yourself is just as detrimental. But we will also get to that in a later lesson…
RAW REALITY:
An attack can come from anyone at anytime.
When you are in a combative situation, you cannot have any prejudgment or thought. You must move the way that you have trained, act and react accordingly. You are the weapon. Mind-Body-Spirit must become one. Connect to the elements and use them to your advantage. You will grow stronger as the enemy becomes weaker. Never judge an opponent with any pre-thoughts. Let go. Mushin (無心), no mind… The mentality is simple, defeat is not an option. You train to protect your life, Remember that next time you are in the dojo. Your life may depend on your training.

GENDER HYPOCRISY
GENDER HYPOCRISY
(read in full before you get pissed…)
Equal rights for all mean equal rights for all. Men and woman should be treated equally. No one should be treated differently because of their sex, gender, race or religion. #EqualRights
Many Hip Hop artists has used the term “made men” and people accept it as strong character and drive to be the person that they want to be. Amazing how this works for some communities but not others… #TransCommunity
Most of us are trying our best to be the person that we want to be. Regardless of what that is, we all see ourselves as “this” and we are trying to achieve “this”. We all try to do the things that help us be the person that we want to be such as: wearing specific type of clothes, doing our hair a certain way, diet and exercise, as well as changing the look of our body from a variety of options such as tattoos, body piercings and cosmetic surgery. #BeYou #BeHappy
The right of the image you see two men, who are extremely rich and make money off of the idea of being a “made man”. Then you get my ass on the left, doing what I have to do to be the woman that I want to be, and I get belittled, harassed and ridiculed for being a transgendered woman. #HatersGonnaHate
As far as I’m concerned, if you are nice to me, I’ll be nice back. If you are a mean, hateful, disrespecting ass, than I will simply not associate myself with you at all, and walk away. We all have a choice, and if you choose to associate yourself with people that are mean, hateful and disrespecting asses, than I will walk away from you too. #DontBeAnAsshole
Life is way to short to not be happy. You only live once, so make sure that what you are doing is getting you closer to the person that you truly want to be. The image for this lesson was to grab your attention and to make you think about the topic. But keep in mind, even though people harass, belittle and hate me for being me. I still stand up with a smile every day, because I love who I am, and what I’ve become, and you can too… #StayStrong

Anshu Christa Jacobson – Budo Ryu – Actions Speak Louder Words
I have never responded to a forum attack or a youtube / video attack in anyway, I let them talk and I simply go about my business promoting good ethics and morals to my students. I have nothing to defend, the Budo Ryu is a school of traditional martial arts that trains and teaches 7 warrior traditions.
— SORRY BUT I AM NOT SO INSECURE THAT I HAVE TO TALK TO A WEBCAM AND TRASH OTHERS ONLINE SO THAT IN MY HEAD I CAN FEEL THAT PEOPLE WILL LIKE ME, AND LIKE WHAT I DO —
I have to hold a position that reflects the dignity of the school. If I am going to tell my students that you should not fight unless you have to, that if the bully is talking than just walk the other way. If I am going to say this to my students, than that is the action that I will reflect from the school too.
Fighting is always the last answer, only fight if you have too, and these kids are talking to a computer, they are not here on the mats, they are talking to a webcam all over the world. I spend my time training, teaching and dedicating myself to the study of the arts. That is all. None of this online hate and slander has anything to do with being a good person or helping myself, my family, my friends, the school or my students in anyway at all.
I hope that you all enjoy the video and understand why I do not take part, the Budo Ryu is a professional school of marital arts and will conduct itself as such.

Stabbed in the Back!
************************************
What do you do when you know that it is coming?
You know that you are helping someone, because they need help and they asked you to help them, yet once they get the help, they are going to drop you and give you NO CREDIT AT ALL — NO RESPECT — NO HONOR.
Do you keep helping them? if so Why?
BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT NOT HELP YOU.
HELPING OTHERS IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
*************************************
Right now I am helping many people in the martial arts community in various different areas from teaching, administration, business, advertising, promotional ideas and video / photography design. I love helping them, If I can use my popularity in the arts to help others that is great! This just ads more positive energy in the marital arts community! 🙂
But as I write this there are 4 people that I am helping that I have found out from different sources are telling me one things and are going to be doing another. Even though I know that I am doing A LOT OF WORK for these 4 individuals & I know from very close sources once they get what they want from me, they are going to leave and not give me or my school any credit. I am still going to help them anyway,…and this is why.
#1 – Because I said I would, my word is my honor. Even to those that I ask for help, I always do what I say I will in the end. This is the only way to keep your honor.
#2 – Because my students, friends and fans will know that I am doing the right thing, and in the end, this is the correct thing to do.
#3 – When they show their real meaning — when they show what they are really worth — everyone will know that I knew that this was going to happen, and I chose this path anyway.
Because I can sleep at night knowing that I did the best I could to helping someone become better and stronger,I cant sleep at night knowing that I am not doing the correct thing.
—- If I don’t help them, that is me placing my personal gain over them as a person, so even though I know that I am not getting the same attention that I am giving them, a warrior does not place him/her self over anyone, they do the right thing in helping those that need help —-
There are those that are just about themselves and then there are those that are about helping others. All I care about is helping people learn these arts and spread the correct teachings of Authentic Ninjutsu.
This is the essence – We have to train hard and push ourselves in all three spirits of Budo (mind, body, sprit). The day that we stop learning, stop training and stop trying to make ourselves better as well as the others around us,…is the day that we get passed by and become a faint memory. Budo has to grow with the times, as do we.”
In the end, the ones that do not help anyone and just talk hate and are so fixed on personal gain they will be a forgotten shadow in history. No one wants to go to their grave forgotten. Help anyone you can, and let them choose their destiny. I wish you all the best my friends.
Take Care, Be Safe & Good Luck in your Journey of Budo.
