In this video, I teach a ground fighting defensive training drill. This is a drill that will help your defensive skills as well as better your reversal skills in a combative situation. THERE IS A BENEFIT IN LEARNING HOW TO TAKE A PUNCH! THERE IS A BENEFIT IN LEARNING HOW TO BE TOUGH!

So many schools only focus on offense. How can you get this lock? How can you set up this choke? But the reality is, in a self defense situation, you never know when the attack is going to happen. More times than not, you will be attacked when you least expect it, you will need to defend the attack, better your position before you can utilize your offensive tactics. This is why we run this drill. The help the students better their defensive skills!

This lesson is directly for the practitioners of the ancient Japanese koryu martial arts of the ninja and samurai, such as ninjutsu (ninpo) and bujutsu (budo).
