This video is a very short clip of the actual full lesson. This part of the video that is presented in a simple overview of the hand positions of the Kiji-In. The Kuji-In roughly translates out as: The Nine Hand Seals. Many people get the Kuji-In mixed up with a variety of other esoteric practices from this time period, such as: Kuji, Kuji In, Kuji Kiri and the Kuji Goshin-ho. All of them are different, yet interrelated with one another.

In Wicca, the term skyclad is used to refer to ritual nudity. Some Wiccan groups, or Traditions, perform some or all of their rituals skyclad. Nudity within the practice of witchcraft has been associated together since the beginning of the craft.
Gardner’s Witchcraft Today was published in 1954. The book claimed to report on the contemporary practice of Pagan religious witchcraft in England, which had supposedly survived as an underground religion for centuries. Ritual nudity was included as a regular part of Wiccan practice. The “Charge of the Goddess“, a part of Gardnerian ritual liturgy, does instruct Wiccans to practice ritual in the nude.
As stated above, the idea of nudity within witchcraft started together. One reason for this is because nudity is so looked down upon by the church that this started as a rumor. By telling the people that this was a sin, they would not practice witchcraft out of fear of the church. Also, and an even more important reason that nudity is connected to witchcraft, is because traditionally witches did work magick nude, to help connect to the natural energy and power that surrounded them within nature.
In 1497, One of the first individuals to regularly depict witches after the witch-craze of the medieval period was Albrecht Dürer, a German Renaissance artist. His famous 1497 engraving The Four Witches, portrays four physically attractive and seductive nude witches. Their supernatural identities are emphasized by the skulls and bones lying at their feet as well as the devil discreetly peering at them from their left. The women’s sensuous presentation speaks to the overtly sexual nature they were attached to in early modern Europe. Moreover, this attractiveness was perceived as a danger to ordinary men who they could seduce and tempt into their sinful world. Some scholars interpret this piece as utilizing the logic of the Canon Episcopi, in which women used their mental powers and bodily seduction to enslave and lead men onto a path of eternal damnation, differing from the unattractive depiction of witches that would follow in later Renaissance years.

(Budo Ryu Lesson – Please Read In Full)
You may or may not believe in magick, and that is up to you and your spiritual path. One thing is for sure, the ninja did believe in magick, & the higher level of ninjutsu training is learning the ancient ninja methods of spells & magick. I personally believe in magick, as it is very well documented that I practice wicca as a form of spirituality. This spiritual practice and belief in the metaphysical realm is one of the reasons why I was honored with the ranks and titles that I have (Anshu “暗主” = Dark Master)
Many say that magick is all in your mind, & this is true. But just because it is in your mind, does not mean that it is not real. Your mind is the most important tool in working magick, as well as the study of ninjutsu & bujutsu.
Focus is the key, & if you’re distracted, than your mind keeps jumping from thought to thought. If you are not focused, your spells won’t be very effective. Mental clarity, concentration, & balance are essential to magick. That’s why ninja, witches and other magicians often practice meditation; it trains & disciplines your mind.
Meditation strengthens the link between you and the divine. When your mind is calm and receptive, you can communicate with angels, spirits, past loved ones, & whatever higher power you recognize in the metaphysical world.
I can go on and on with this lesson, but the point of this lesson is to increase the understanding that in the ancient world of ninjutsu, the practice of magick is more important than learning un-armed fighting techniques.

Giving Thanks To The Gods…
I woke up this morning to see that it’s raining. Always remember to thank the divine by getting out and experiencing the beauty of nature. This world was a gift that we get to experience its beauty, if we take the time too. This experience with nature helps us better understand ourselves and connect to the elements and our surroundings.
While it is raining, we get to experience the element of “Sui” (水; water) from the divine, which represents: Emotion, Sexuality, Adaptability, Flexibility, Suppleness, and Magnetism.
Today is also the day of a solar eclipse, which represents: Renewal of Spiritual Energy, Revealing Lies (particularly those that we tell ourselves), Re-thinking our Direction of Action and Refocusing on our Goals in Life.
As the powers of the Sun and the Moon align, I will get to experience the element of “Ku” (空; Void) from the divine, which is associated with: Heavens, Divine, Magick, Sakkijutsu and Invocation.
Remember the renewal of spiritual energy is more than just your inner power, but your magickal tools as well. Make sure that you lay out all of your stones and crystals, as well as all of your tools (wand, etc, etc…) and let them soak up this divine magickal energy that is a gift to all of us today, during the Solar Eclipse!
