Koka Ryu Kempo – Sankei (Three Tools) 甲賀流拳法 – 三 形 – 拳法, 空手
This is some of the video footage from our Koka-ryu Kempo Sankei Workshop 2012
In the training of this event we looked at the Koka-ryu Sankei; which translates out as “three tools” and are three specific weapons used in Kempo, to help train the body. These three weapons are the Kama (sickle), Tanto (knife) and Tonbo (short stick). This is not just for the knowledge and application of the weapon, but to help train the budoka’s taijutsu for better empty hand kempo application as well.
Koka-ryu Kempo is one of the 7 Warrior Traditions of the Budo Ryu; School of the Warrior Way as the training goes in depth within the 7 traditions of the Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo!
